OOTD & Review | ft. Choies Clothes

An outfit which i've been loving over the past few weeks, has been a combination of this white Geek printed t-shirt and geometric totem printed shorts from Choies.

This outfit is just so quick and easy to throw on in the morning. Also, its comfortable, but still cute. What more can a girl want in an outfit?

As with the majority of my clothes, this outfit is monochromatic. This means that it's super easy to pair with other items. Today I paired it with a pair of black bow ballet flats from Rubi, and a bright red lip (to add a bit of festivity into my look).

I can't wait to see what other items I can pair this outfit with in the coming summertime.

NOTD | Keep Up The Flame by Maybelline

Hello my lovelies!

Today's post is a NOTD, which is ever so slightly christmas themed. Being only 9 days away from christmas, i'm most definitely getting into the holiday spirit!

The nail polish which I wanted to show today, is the Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in 250 Keep Up The Flame. I was luckily gifted this as an early christmas present, and I think it's the perfect shade of red to have on your nails and toes during the month of christmas.

This is a gorgeous bright cherry red shade, with a creme finish. It is extremely pigmented, and looks stunning and totally opaque with only 2 thin coats.

So thats all I have for today's post. I hope you've enjoyed, and that you love this polish as much as I do!

OOTD & Review | ft. Style Lately 'DUH' Tee

image

One of my staple fashion items, are plain t-shirts with phrases on them. I just find that they fit perfectly with my day-to-day style, and I can pair them with so many different pieces.

I've been loving this t-shirt with the word "Duh" on it, from Style Lately. Being white with black writing, its so versatile, whilst still being a lot cuter than a plain white t-shirt.

Today I wanted a monochromatic outfit, so I paired this t-shirt with a black and white spotted skirt, and a black pair of sandals (not pictured).

I'm loving this t-shirt at the moment, and I am super excited to see what other summery outfits I can incorporate this t-shirt into.

OOTD & Review | ft. OMG Fashion Dip Dye Denim Shorts

One of my favourite fashion trends during the summer time, is just to throw on a plain pair of denim shorts. I think that denim shorts suit so many different outfits, and are just so comfortable. To be completely honest, I practically live in denim shorts throughout the months of december and january.
I saw these stunning Dip Dye Denim Shorts from OMG Fashion, and I knew that they had to get in my wardrobe as soon as possible.

I know i'm going to get a lot of wear out of these throughout the summer time, as they are so versatile and comfortable, and are a great quality. I think the blue denim to white ombre/dip dye effect is stunning, and I really like the worn effect that the frayed trim and rips give.

At only $34 AUD, these shorts are such a steal. Seeing how affordable they were, I was really surprised with the amazing quality of these shorts. They have a really heavy and thick texture, so you know that they are made out of great quality denim.

What I also love about these shorts, is that they are so versatile. They look lovely paired with both bright and neutral colours. For this review, I paired them with a sky blue t-shirt from Supre, and a pair of glossy black ballet flats from Cotton On.

NOTD | Absolutely Blue by Essence

Hello my gorgeous readers!

Today I have a quick NOTD post for you all. I apologise for my lack of posts lately (on both my blog and youtube channel) but i've been swamped with tests and assessment tasks! Now that school is closer to ending for the year, there should be a lot more content posted soon!

The nail polish of my choice today, is another Essence Colour & Go Nailpolish. Have you caught on to my love of Essence products yet?! This one is in 125, Absolutely Blue.

This polish is a gorgeous baby blue shade, with a subtle lavender tint to it. I'm awful at describing colours, but hopefully the photos will show you what I mean! Anyway, this is a creme formula polish.

I only had to do two coats for this polish to become fully opaque. As with most of Essence's nail polishes, it has quite a thick formula (not in a bad way).

I can't really comment on the lasting power of this polish, as i've only just applied it, but if it is like most of the other Essence nail polishes i've tried, it should last a good 3 days before starting to chip.

Hope you've enjoyed this quick post!

OOTD & Review | ft. OMG Fashion Fisherman Jumper

image
image

Lately i've found myself sticking to plain black and white colours, and seeing as its coming into summer here in Australia, I really wanted to incorporate some fun & bright colours into my wardrobe. So when I saw this gorgeous hot pink Fisherman Jumper from OMG Fashion, I just had to have it!

Even though it's coming into summer, I knew that I would still get a lot of wear out of this jumper, seeing as Sydney has really unpredictable weather. I think this sweater will be great for brightening up those dreary and rainy days. Even if I don't get much use out of it this summer, it is made out of really thick, and durable material, so I know that it will last well into 2014.

What I also love about this sweater, is it's price. It is really hard to find affordable and good quality sweaters here in Australia - with the majority of them being around $60. But no, this gorgeous sweater is only $20.40 AUD. What a bargain!
Seeing as this jumper is such a girly and bright colour, I decided to feature it as the main attraction of my outfit. I paired it with plain black leggings from Supre, studded boots from Therapy shoes, and a simple spiked silver ring from Colette.

Review and Swatches ♡ Essence Longlasting Lipsticks

Hello my lovelies, today i'll be reviewing and swatching some lipsticks that have recently become available on the Australian market.

These are the Essence Longlasting Lipsticks. If you have been watching my youtube videos or reading my blog for a while, it will be no secret to you that I am obsessed with the makeup brand Essence. Anyway, the shades that I picked up were 08 Colour Crush, 01 Coral Calling,  and 10 Cotton Candy. The Longlasting Lipstick range consists of 10 lipsticks in total, which all contain 3.8g of product.

What I was most excited for with these lipsticks, was actually the packaging. Sounds a little crazy, eh. This matte black casing with a thin stripe to indicate the colour of the lipstick is SUCH a step up from their previous cheap-looking lipstick packaging. That gets a huge thumbs up from me!

The formula of these lipsticks also impressed me. Their previous lipsticks had more of a tinted lipbalm formula, and in comparison, these lipsticks are a lot more pigmented and have better lasting power. I still wouldn't say that they are completely opaque, but they do have decent colour payoff, and they apply nicely.

The first lipstick is 08 Colour Crush. It is a lovely vibrant pink shade, that I think would suit a variety of different skin tones.

Next, is 01 Coral Calling, which is a gorgeous medium coral shade. I don't tend to suit coral lipsticks too well, but I really like the way that this one looks on me.

The final lipstick is 10 Cotton Candy. This is my personal favourite, and i've worn it almost every single day since i've purchased it. It is a bright blue-toned, barbie pink shade.

Left to Right: 08 Colour Crush, 01 Coral Calling,  and 10 Cotton Candy

In conclusion, I am very impressed by these lipsticks and will definitely be purchasing more shades in the future. They aren't the most pigmented lipsticks that i've tried - and don't have great lasting power, but for only $4 AUD, I think they are a fabulous product.

Have you picked up any of these Essence Longlasting Lipsticks? Let me know if you have any more recommendations from this line.

NOTD | Free Hugs by Essence

Hello my lovelies!

Today's post is a quick NOTD, using a lovely new nail polish that I picked up on yesterday's shopping shenanigans with Sarah. What a mouthful! Anyway, I picked up another one of my favourite nail polishes - the Essence Colour & Go Nail Polishes. This is number 106 'Free Hugs'. It's a gorgeous light pink bubblegum creme.
As with all of the other Essence Colour & Go Nail Polishes, I absolutely love the formula of this polish. It's got a really nice opacity, and is only slightly streaky (not the polish's fault, i'm just rubbish at painting nails!).

It's coming off very dark and purple toned in the photos (due to the rubbish weather here in Sydney), but in real life its much more of a light barbie-pink shade.
I've also heard that this is a dupe for Essie's Chastity - which is great seeing as it only retails for $2.75 AUD compared to Essie's RRP of $16.95.

Anyway, I hope you've all enjoyed this quick little NOTD.
What do you think of this polish?

Top 5 Spring Lipsticks ♡

It's currently Spring here in Australia, and I have been using this change in weather to inspire me to play with some different lipstick colours. Throughout the past few months, I have been loving more of the pink and peachy shades of lipstick, and I thought I would share them with you.

Maybelline Color Whisper in 'Pink Possibilities'

This Maybelline Color Whisper has to be one of my favourite pink lipstick shades. It is a medium pink bubblegum shade, with a very moisturising formula. If you're looking for an extremely pigmented and longwearing lipstick, than this isn't it. It is lightly pigmented, and has a glossy formula (not great wearing time). I don't really mind that this doesn't have the best lasting power, as I enjoy whipping its cute packaging out whilst in public to reapply. I love this lipstick for those days where you just want a bright lip that's easy to slap on.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in '16'

This Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick is one of the most gorgeous peachy pink shades of lipstick that I own. It is opaque, and has a slightly creamy finish (not matte). This has to be one of my favourite lipsticks for everyday use, as it compliments a vast array of eye looks, and I love the way that it looks with my skin colour.

Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in 'Hula'

I have to mention the Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Hula. This is a lovely coral/orange shade, with a creamy but pigmented formula. I love to wear this lipstick on days where I just want a neutral lip that is no fuss, and easy to apply on the go. The downside to this lipstick is that it was limited edition, and no longer sold in stores. I actually bought mine from a little bin in Priceline marked down to $3. I'm sure you can find it online somewhere though.

Essence Lipstick in 'All About Cupcake'

This lipstick is a gorgeous coral pink shade. I would have to say that the formula is more similar to that of a lip butter or tinted lip balm, as it is quite shiny and slightly sheer - though it can be built up to be more opaque. I love the colour of this lipstick, especially for spring time. I find that it just suits a lot of different makeup looks, and I tend to find this floating around my handbag on days out on the town. The one disappointing thing about this product is the packaging, as it is made out of coloured plastic which can be broken easily, and the actual lipstick rises out above the tube - which makes it very easy to gauge when putting the cap back on. But for the tiny price tag of $4 AUD, this product is fantastic!

Sportsgirl Pout About It Lipcolour in 'Beauty Queen'

This is a lovely cool-toned nude pink shade, with hints of purple. It has an extremely glossy finish, which isn't very long-lasting, but since it is such a lovely colour, I can forgive this. The packaging of this lipstick is quite cheaply made, with a flimsy plastic lid (which I have already cracked). I find this is the perfect lipstick for days where i'm rocking a dark eye look, as it just gives a lovely shiny, wash of light-pink to the lips.

L-R: Pink Possibilities, 16, Hula, All About Cupcake, Beauty Queen.

As you can probably tell, my favourite lip colours for Spring are definitely peaches and pinks. If you know of any similar colours that you think I would enjoy, please leave them down below. And also feel free to let me know what lipsticks you are currently loving - no matter if you're currently in spring or autumn.

Review | Furless Brushes

Today's review is on three Furless makeup brushes. Furless is an Australian company that sells high quality synthetic professional makeup brushes and accessories. This company is cruelty free, and 100% vegan. What also impresses me so much about this brand, is that their products are so affordable! Here in Australia, the majority of cheaper-priced makeup brushes are mass produced in China, and made of animal hair, but Furless brushes are so affordable, whilst being great quality and cruelty free.
Now onto the customer service, shipping and packaging. The customer service team at Furless were amazing to deal with. They replied to my emails very quickly (within a day), and were positive and helpful. I was sent my package within a few days of ordering - which was very impressive.
I received my brushes in a padded, bubble-wrap envelope. This meant that there was no chance of my brushes becoming deformed or broken in the mail.
These Furless brushes have a fantastic appearance, which is very aesthetically pleasing. They have dark blue, glossy handles, and a bright gold ferrule. These brushes are slightly longer than my other brushes, which I enjoy, as it makes them stand out from my bunch of shorter brushes.
Now I will talk about each individual brush that I received.
PRO1M - Must Have Pro Pointed Blending Brush* ($11.95AUD)
I really enjoy this brush for blending out concealer in the under-eye area and around the nose. It is very dense, but is still extremely soft, so it is great for blending. I think this brush would also work great on the eyes.

PRO2M - Must Have Pro Precision Brush* ($11.95AUD)
This brush is tiny! That makes it a fabulous lip brush, and it's also great to apply shadow under the eye. This could also be used for concealing blemishes due to it's small size and density.

PRO4M - Must Have Pro Extended Concealer Brush* ($11.95)
I find this brush really lovely to apply concealer with. It is flat, and quite long, which makes it great for the application of concealer under the eyes. I also love to use this brush to apply cream eye products, such as the Maybelline Color Tattoos.

These three brushes all come with soft, black bristles. I have washed these three brushes numerous times with water and a cleanser, and they haven't shed a single bristle. A huge thumbs up from me!
In conclusion, I am loving these brushes. I will definitely be purchasing more brushes from Furless in the future, as I really enjoy how the company is cruelty free, and they still manage to make fantastic brushes. Another thing that I am super impressed by, is the price of these brushes. They are so affordable, with $5 flat rate shipping across Australia.
